Binti Mwangaza run Program

THE ANNUAL BINTI RUN

The Binti Run is an annual event organized by Binti Mwangaza to raise awareness about period stigma and generate funds to support our initiatives. Held in Nanyuki, the run brings together individuals from all walks of life to stand in solidarity with women and girls in need, promoting menstrual health and gender equality.

The 5th Annual Binti Run

On June 8, 2024, the 5th edition of the Binti Run took place at the Nanyuki Showground. The event kicked off at 8 AM with a warm-up session and was officially flagged off at 8:30 AM by WO2 G Oppong from BATUK. By the time the run concluded at 11 AM, over 240 participants had joined, exceeding our target of 200.

Thanks to the collective effort, we successfully raised the equivalent of 350 period kits, which will provide essential menstrual health products to 350 schoolgirls. This marks an improvement from the previous year’s total, demonstrating the growing impact of the event.

Why the Binti Run Matters

The Binti Run is more than just a sporting event—it is a movement for change. By participating, runners help break the silence around menstrual health, challenge period stigma, and provide tangible support for girls who lack access to menstrual products. The funds raised directly contribute to Binti Mwangaza’s programs, ensuring that girls can attend school with confidence and dignity.

Looking Ahead

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made this event possible. Your support is transforming lives, one step at a time. We look forward to welcoming even more participants in next year’s Binti Run, as we continue to push for menstrual equity and community empowerment.

Thank you for running with us. See you next year!
