OUR WORK IN SCHOOLS
At Binti Mwangaza, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Our school programs are designed to provide young students with essential knowledge and tools to navigate adolescence confidently. Through comprehensive workshops, interactive discussions, and resource distribution, we equip students with the skills needed to make informed choices about their health, well-being, and future.

Comprehensive Sexual Education
We visit schools to provide inclusive sexual education for both girls and boys, breaking down stigmas and ensuring that students understand their bodies, reproductive health, and rights. Our lessons cover puberty, menstrual health, safe relationships, and responsible decision-making. We distribute Binti Kits, reusable sanitary pads, and Teen-Time books, which provide valuable information about puberty and growing up.
SEMA Club & The Binti Bench
To create a safe and open space for students, we have established the SEMA Club and The Binti Bench. These initiatives allow students to ask any questions they have about adolescence, health, and life in a judgment-free environment. SEMA, meaning “speak” in Swahili, encourages open discussions and peer support, while The Binti Bench provides a confidential space where students can seek guidance and mentorship.
Holistic Youth Empowerment
Beyond sexual education, we address key challenges that young people face today. Our programs include sessions on financial literacy, drug awareness, self-esteem, and mental health, ensuring that students are equipped to handle the social and economic realities of life. We empower students to develop resilience, confidence, and the ability to make positive life choices.
Impact and Future Goals
By engaging directly with students in schools, we are fostering a generation that is informed, confident, and capable of making sound decisions. Our goal is to expand our reach to more schools, providing young people with the education and resources they need to thrive.
